From the moment you make your booking, getaway gift card acts exclusively as an intermediary between you and the service provider, on behalf of the service provider, as getaway gift card does not sell services under its own name. getaway gift card sends your booking details to the service provider and then emails you a confirmation on their behalf.

getaway gift card processes all transactions on www.getawaygiftcard.com, including any payment-related matters. If you experience problems or have questions, comments, or concerns about your transaction, please contact us directly.

Gift Card Expiration and Validity

Purchased at getawaygiftcard.com: All getaway gift cards are valid for two years.

Purchased elsewhere: getaway gift cards purchased from other retailers may have different expiration dates - please check this carefully before making your purchase.

Global Coverage and Restrictions

Legal Compliance

We comply with all applicable national and international laws. Please note that imposed sanctions may affect service availability in certain regions.

Hotel Availability

While we maintain an extensive network of hotels, availability is subject to the individual hotel's booking system and capacity. We cannot guarantee availability at any specific property.

No Date Restrictions

There are no seasonal restrictions or blackout dates imposed by getaway gift card on the use of our gift cards.

Gift Card Security and Age Requirements

Lost or Stolen Gift Cards

If your gift card code is lost or stolen, please report this to us immediately through our Customer Service page. We will block the compromised card and issue a new one, provided the original card has not been partially or fully redeemed.

Age Restrictions

There is no minimum age requirement to purchase a getaway gift card. However, the age requirements for the individual redeeming the card are subject to the individual supplier's policies and terms.

Payment

Payments are required at the time of ordering and can be made with Visa, MasterCard, or available local payment methods. All payment processes are secure. Your gift card code is available instantly upon successful payment and can be used immediately for bookings. If payment is not completed or if there are issues with the transaction, we reserve the right to deactivate the getaway gift card. Additionally, if bookings are made with an unpaid or invalid value code, these bookings may be cancelled.

VAT

Prices include VAT and other applicable taxes unless otherwise stated. VAT does not apply to getaway gift cards.

Business Orders

Companies can choose to pay directly (bank payment options are available in some countries) or pay later via invoice. Orders paid by invoice are only activated once payment is received. For questions or special requests, please contact us - we're happy to help.

Using Your Gift Card

How to Redeem

getaway gift cards can be used for experiences available on our website. They cannot be redeemed directly with the service provider. If your booking costs more than your gift card value, you can pay the difference online. If you don't use the full amount, the remaining balance remains valid for future bookings.

Important Booking Information

Ensure all details match the requirements of the booked experience. Make sure booking information is filled out correctly to prevent issues during your experience.

Additional Services

Bookings exclude upgrades or optional extras unless explicitly stated. However, you can add these services after booking by contacting the service provider directly.

Your Booking Confirmation

Once you've booked, you'll receive a confirmation email. Bring a printed copy of your booking confirmation along with any required documents or identification for the experience.

Important Note

getaway gift cards cannot be exchanged for cash.

Money-Back Guarantee

We want you to feel confident about your gift purchase, which is why getaway gift card offers a 14-day money-back guarantee on consumer gift orders (excluding B2B orders starting with order number "EC-B" and all orders paid with cryptocurrency). If your getaway gift card code has not been redeemed (even partially), is not being used for an active booking, and your consumer order was placed on getawaygiftcard.com, you can request a refund within 14 days of purchase.

To request a refund, the gift purchaser must submit a request through our Customer Service page. Refunds will be processed back to the original payment method. Please note that regardless of when the gift was given, we can only provide refunds within 14 days of purchase and only if the gift has not been used in full or in part.

Changes and Cancellations

Cancellation Policy

Refunds for customer-initiated cancellations may be partial or, in some cases, non-refundable. If the service provider cancels your experience, you may be eligible for a full refund in accordance with the service provider's policy. Any refund from the service provider is passed on to you in full. Once the service provider has processed the refund, we will credit the gift value back to your gift card code and refund any additional payments within three business days to the original payment method. Please note that the service provider's refund process can take 30 days to several months, depending on their internal procedures.

Modifying Your Booking

You can make changes directly with the service provider (if permitted), or we can assist if changes through the service provider are not possible. Please note that change fees may apply.

Missed Appointments

No refunds are available for missed experiences ("no-shows").

Data Accuracy and Service Limitations

The information we provide is based on data supplied to us by service providers. While we make every effort to ensure our services are accurate and reliable, we cannot verify or guarantee that all information is complete or error-free. This includes potential inaccuracies, interruptions (due to temporary issues, maintenance, or upgrades), or incorrect or incomplete information. We appreciate your understanding that we cannot be held responsible for these issues.

Promotions, Giveaways and Competitions

From time to time, Getaway Gift Card may organise promotional campaigns, giveaways, competitions or sweepstakes (collectively referred to as "Promotions"). By participating in any Promotion, you agree to the following terms in addition to these general Terms and Conditions.

Eligibility

Promotions are open to individuals who are at least 18 years of age at the time of entry. Employees, contractors and immediate family members of Getaway Gift Card, its affiliates and any third-party partners involved in the Promotion are not eligible to participate. Participation is void where prohibited by applicable law.

No Purchase Necessary

No purchase is necessary to enter or win any Promotion unless explicitly stated otherwise. A purchase will not increase your chances of winning. Free entry methods, where applicable, will be described in the specific Promotion rules.

Right to Cancel, Modify or Revoke

Getaway Gift Card reserves the absolute right to cancel, terminate, modify, suspend or revoke any Promotion, in whole or in part, at any time and for any reason, without prior notice and without liability to any participant. This includes, but is not limited to, situations involving suspected fraud, technical failures, force majeure, regulatory changes or any other circumstances that compromise the integrity or proper administration of the Promotion.

Disqualification

Getaway Gift Card reserves the right to disqualify any participant who tampers with the entry process, violates these terms, engages in fraudulent or abusive conduct, or acts in a manner that is disruptive, unsportsmanlike or contrary to the spirit of the Promotion. Any attempt to deliberately damage or undermine the operation of a Promotion may result in legal action.

Prizes

Prize details, including their nature and approximate value, will be specified in the individual Promotion rules. Prizes are non-transferable, non-exchangeable and cannot be redeemed for cash unless expressly stated otherwise. Getaway Gift Card reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the original prize becomes unavailable for any reason.

Winner Selection and Notification

Winners will be selected in the manner described in the specific Promotion rules (e.g. random draw, panel selection, first-come-first-served). Winners will be notified by email or other contact method provided at entry. If a winner does not respond within 14 days of notification, or cannot be contacted, the prize may be forfeited and an alternative winner may be selected at the sole discretion of Getaway Gift Card.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Getaway Gift Card, its directors, employees, agents and affiliates shall not be liable for any loss, damage, injury or disappointment suffered by any participant arising from or in connection with participation in a Promotion or the acceptance, use or misuse of any prize. Getaway Gift Card is not responsible for any technical malfunctions, network failures, delayed or lost entries, or any other issues beyond its reasonable control.

Tax Responsibility

Winners are solely responsible for any taxes, duties or levies that may apply to the receipt or use of a prize, in accordance with the laws of their country of residence.

Personal Data

Personal data collected in connection with a Promotion will be processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Data will be used solely for the purpose of administering the Promotion, notifying winners and, where consent has been given, for marketing communications. Participants may withdraw their marketing consent at any time.

Social Media Disclaimer

Promotions hosted or advertised on third-party platforms (including but not limited to Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, X/Twitter and YouTube) are in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with those platforms. By participating, you release all such platforms from any and all liability in connection with the Promotion.

Applicable Law

All Promotions are governed by Dutch law. In the event of any dispute, the decision of Getaway Gift Card shall be final and binding. Any legal proceedings shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Netherlands.
